Shared moments

Come together around the shared kitchen table for unforgettable moments with friends, captivating stories with fellow travelers, and profound discussions with retreat peers.

Wonderia Cafe and Dining Room

The venue has a fully-equipped kitchen for travelers to cook and dine, as well as a separate kitchen for gatherings and retreats to prepare wholesome meals.

Kitchen area and reading corner

The hallway is home to the accommodation rooms, WC and shower facilities, a communal kitchen area, and a cozy reading corner.

Accommodation Rooms

We have three main accommodation rooms: Forest, Drum and Koli Room, each with unique wall paintings, as well as a separate apartment for retreat staff.

Mandala Room

Our "Mandala" room is a beautiful space for group activities, with large windows that fill the room with natural light and a captivating mandala wall painting. Additionally, this room can also serve as group accommodation, accommodating around 10 people on mattresses.

Sauna hut

The traditional sauna is heated with wood and has no running water for an authentic experience, and can fit 2-3 people at a time. In the summertime, two people can also sleep in the hut and experience the nature right at their doorstep.

Forest Path

Take a peaceful walk through the protected forest, with a 1 km long path just around the corner. During winter, you can also enjoy skiing or showshoe walking.

Garden

The school is surrounded by a spacious garden with a fireplace, a volleyball field, and even a frisbee golf track.

Take a refreshing dip in the waters

Just 1 km away, you'll find the Akanmutka river rounding, a perfect spot for a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear waters.

The guardians of the garden

The school is enveloped by majestic birch trees, lovingly planted by children back in 1932 when the school was built.

Watch the astonishing sunset on the lake

During the summer, the sun barely sets, providing endless opportunities for tranquil evenings. Rent a rowing boat and indulge in the serene summer nights on the lake.

Old protected forest

Good Life School is surrounded by pristine and protected forest. Listen to the whispering wind, smell the earthy scents, feel the texture of the trees, and see the beauty of nature. Pick mushrooms and berries that the forest generously offers.

Participate in community events

Enhance your stay with a private session for yoga, energy healing, shamanic breathwork, and other rejuvenating practices.

Snowy wonderland

In the winter you can also enjoy snowshoe walking, ice fishing, skiing and skating on the lakes.

If additional space is needed for a retreat, the village house next to the school can be rented as well.

How to get to us
We are located in a small village of Tuopanjoki in Eastern Finland next to the Finnish national park Koli and a beautiful lake scenery.

By train or by plane you get to next town Joensuu. We are pleased to help you with further advise how to get to us.
